Dendrobium Thyrsiflorum

Bulbophyllum Elizabeth Ann "Buckleberry" FCC/AOS
This variety is very well-known with large rose-red flowers that are unique looking and very lovely with an exotic flair. This plant is easy to grow and flower, indoors as well as outdoors.

Like other orchids, it is important to water this plant regularly. However, be careful not to overwatering it! Also, since this plant can be very robust, it requires sturdy supports. Dendrobium Thyrsiflorum

Dendrobium Hancockii

This variety looks like the Dendrobium Hainanensis, but they are quite different. Den. Hancockii has thicker stems that are a more yellow, almost orange color while Den. Hainanensis has black canes. This marvelous ground orchid is distributed throughout Southern China but has become very rare for 2 special reasons -- it combines the looks of a bamboo with the golden flowers of an orchid, and the flowers have a strong aromatic perfume scent similar to honey. It is also known to have medical properties. This variety can grow up to 5 feet tall and can form a wonderful "bamboo" tree.

Plant grows best in cool to warm temperatures with medium amounts of light. Keep plant moist and fertilize during the growing season. Reduce water amount during the winter until new shoots appear. Grow in a well-drained mix of sphagnum moss or medium firbark.
